Easy To Use Tips For Taking Digital Photography

Are you tired of not being able to produce pictures like the
ones in the ads for that new or existing digital camera that you
own?

Would you like to know the secrets the professionals use to make
those lovely portraits, night shots and those great stop action
shots? All seemingly perfect with no heads cutoff, perfectly
centered without the red eyes showing.

Well there's good news. you do not have to spend a lot of money
on long expensive courses. There are really a few key secrets to
exciting and rewarding digital photography.

1. What to shoot? Technically described as COMPOSITION

This can simply be described as how you put together the
elements of what you want you picture to be. Most of us usually
put too much in our images, when you look at most pictures you
admire they tend to very basic and simple. Do not over whelm
your shots with unnecessary images and objects that do not add
anything to your shot. Take you time and think it out and just
keep it simple.

2. How do I use my camera? " Usually referred to as TECHNICAL
FEATURE OF YOUR CAMERA"

Taking the time to learn the basic features of you camera is
critical for your long-term success and satisfaction with
digital photography. I know you want to jump in and start taking
pictures immediately. But a little study time will put you light
years ahead of others in your ability to capture those special
moments that will last a lifetime. You control the camera… the
camera should not control and frustrate you.

Some of the key features you will need to understand are.

Aperture: The size of the opening of the lens that controls
light coming in.

Shutter Speed: How fast the shutter opens and closes, fast
shutter speeds help produce those great stop action shots you
see.

Fill flash: Keeps you pictures from being overexposed and having
that washed out look.

These are just a few of the features that are available for you
to control to get that perfect shot easily.

2. Can you see what you want to shoot? LIGHT

This is one of the most critical elements of your photo. Without
the proper light all of the other aspects could be perfect but
your shot will not be.

Most people tend to know that they want the light to be behind
their subjects, but it's not just where the light comes from.
You need to make sure that it is dispersed evenly over your
subject. And there are times when you may only want to
illuminate a certain portion of you subject.

Sometimes harsh sunlight can cause unwanted shadows or over
exposure of your pictures. As strange as it may seem,
sometimes-overcast days are better for you shots as you receive
a more even light source.

Just remember to judge and use light based on your goal. If you
want strong contrasting shadows in you picture then you want
that clear sky sunny day to help you execute that shot. As with
you camera and its technical features, think of light as another
control that you need to work with or around as needed.
