  Making Alfredo Sauce

If you are a pasta fan, you are probably a lover of Alfredo sauce as well. That white, creamy sauce that makes anything taste 100% better and make you actually feel full at the end of the meal. Making Alfredo sauce is actually not that difficult and, in fact there are so many different varieties that you can try and make in your own home, without spending the $15 at some bland restaurant.

Here are a few recipes to try if you want to make great Alfredo sauce:

-- Artichoke Tomato Alfredo Recipe

-- Alfredo Sauce with Bacon Recipe

-- Fake Alfredo Sauce Recipe

Artichoke Tomato Alfredo Sauce

For a more sophisticated sauce like this you will need a few extra ingredients that you might not usually find in Alfredo sauce. You will need a can of artichokes, five tomatoes, an onion, a tablespoon of garlic powder, a half cup of fresh basil, two tablespoon of while wheat flour, and a half cup of low fat rice milk. First you need to sauté the vegetables, basil, and garlic in some of the juice from the artichokes. Add a little flour as the vegetables cook, adding the milk to compensate for thickness. Serve this on your favorite pasta!

Alfredo Sauce with Bacon

For a richer sauce try this. You need a half pint of half and half, three tablespoons of Butter and flour, two cloves or garlic, a third cup of parmesan cheese, a fourth cup of Parsley, and a half pound of bacon. To make this sauce you need to melt the butter in a saucepan, adding the garlic, flour and half and half, slowly. This will thicken the sauce, make sure to never let it burn. When it has completely thickened add the cheese, bacon and parsley.  And again, serve this over your favorite pasta for a large group of friends, rich food is always better when shared!

Alfredo sauce may seem like a mysterious food that can only be cooked by great chefs, but try your hand at it and impress your family.
